The members of the Ship Hector Foundation are working with the businesses and community residents of the Town of Pictou to help rebuild the tourism sector and increase the economy of the town. We often have local fundraisers and support the volunteers that give of their time to help in so many ways. A goal is to build the Ship Hector into a national icon that will in turn bring tourists to the Town of Pictou and surrounding areas. We will continue to enhance the Hector and raise funds to keep it in top shape for many to enjoy. The award winning interpretive center is also an important drawing card for many tourists and together they bring a new life to the waterfront of Pictou.
